Current Empties | Products I've Used Up

Nivea Sun Light Feel Daily Face Veil SPF30 50ml
I've been using this sunscreen for the past few years and it's actually lasted me a fairly long time for a small bottle. The product is very liquidy in consistency and definitely has a "light feel" on my face which I love. The packaging says that it is a cream-gel formula and when applied onto my skin, I've  noticed that it has a slight cooling sensation. It's fast absorbing and doesn't leave a sticky residue on the skin, making it easy to apply makeup shortly afterward. Unlike many sunscreens, even for the face, this product has a lovely but subtle floral scent that's quite refreshing. I have very sensitive skin and haven't had any problems using this product. I recommend this sunscreen for those of you who find that sunscreen may cause you any irritation or break outs. I would definitely repurchase this product. ($7.69 at Chemist Warehouse)

Nivea Firming Body Lotion Q10 Plus Normal Skin 400ml
This is my everyday body moisturiser that I've also been using for years. Even though I like to change it up every now and then and try different moisturisers, I always have this one stocked somewhere in the cupboards. I use this particularly for its 'firming' qualities rather than its moisturisation. While it does a good job of moisturising my skin, I do sometimes enjoy a richer cream that really targets dry skin. What I like about this lotion is that it's super fast absorbing, and like the Nivea Face Veil mentioned above, it has a much runnier and thin consistency than other brands/types of moisturisers which makes it easier and faster to apply. You'll be able to slip into those skinny leg jeans pretty much straight away! I have repurchased this product. ($5.99 at Chemist Warehouse)

Vaseline Healthy Hands Nail Strengthening Nourishing Hand Lotion 75ml
My mum bought this hand cream for herself but gave it to me after I smelt it and was addicted! I've never really stuck to the same brand or type of hand cream because I'm constantly finding different ones that I want to try. I kept this one in my handbag to carry around but I found myself using it more at home every night before bed. I've naturally got dry hands so I try to apply hand cream as often as I can/remember, especially around my fingers and cuticles. Vaseline do a great selection of hand lotions, and I found that this one was super fast absorbing, perhaps too fast haha (I kept feeling like I needed to reapply more after it absorbed). I didn't find this one to be as moisturising as others that I have tried in the past but it was still a nice and very pleasant smelling hand cream to use. Whether or not it strengthened my nails, I don't think so. I would repurchase another type from the Vaseline range.

TRESemme Heat Tamer Protective Spray 300ml
Another awesome product that I've been using for years, the popular and much loved Tresemme heat protectant! To be honest I haven't actually tried any other brand of heat protecting sprays since using this one so I can't really do any comparisons at this stage, but oh well, I don't really see the point. This Tresemme one works a treat and it has the best fine mist spray pump for this type of product. It helps detangle and leaves my hair looking sleek and shiny. Another great feature is that the pump can be locked for ease of travelling. Bonus! I don't think I need to try any others just yet, unless for some crazy reason Tresemme decide to discontinue or change the packaging/formula for it. I would definitely and have already repurchased. ($7.99 at Priceline but currently on sale for $3.99!)

Prestige Brow Perfection Revitalizing Clear Brow Gel 7.2ml
The first clear brow gel I ever bought! What can I say, it does the job. It has a sturdy spooly brush head, smells a bit like glue but you'll get plenty of product. This will last you a very long time. Although with clear brow gels, they become discoloured and 'gunky' quite quickly so you can't keep them around for too long anyway. I would repurchase this product.($12.95 at Priceline also available at Target, often discounted)

Avene Eau Thermale Thermal Spring Water 50ml
One of my holy grail products! I can't walk out the door without spritzing a bit of this stuff all over my face to set my makeup. There are a lot of makeup setting sprays on the market now but I'm pretty happy with this thermal spring water from Avene. Its light, refreshing and it's French! This product like most of the Avene skincare range, is made for sensitive skin. The thermal spring water can be used for several purposes such as soothing sunburns, facial redness, various irritations, post hair removal and so on. I like to use it as both a setting and refreshing spray for my face. It has a fine mist which wont ruin your makeup and doesn't have any fragrance that may irritate your eyes or skin. It also comes in a much larger 300ml can, but the 50ml lasts long enough and is easier for me to use and travel with. I would and have already repurchased this product ($7.99 at Chemist Warehouse

Estee Lauder Time Zone Anti-Line/Wrinkle Eye Cream 3ml
My mum got this eye cream (sample size) in a gift with purchase pack and she gave it to me to use. I really enjoyed this product and actually noticed some results after a few weeks of use. It's for all skin types and is used AM and PM but I only used it as part of my night skincare. I noticed that it did smooth out the skin and lines around my eyes, leaving it looking brighter and feeling more hydrated. I'm on the hunt for a good eye cream at the moment so I might actually look into buying the full size of this and using it for a longer period to see if the results are the same if not better. ($72.00 available at Myer or David Jones)

Opti-Free Pure Moist Multi-Purpose Disinfecting Solution 300ml
Contact lens solution, cant live without this stuff. I'm not too fussed on what brand as long as they clean my lenses and keep them from drying out, but this is the one I'm using at the moment. Claims to have 16 hours of moist lenses so that works for me. ($17.99 Economy Pck at Chemist Warehouse)

Aveeno Ulta-Calming Foaming Cleanser 177ml
This product was featured in my 'Products I use to clean my face' blog post. I've been using this cleanser for the past two years after trying out many different cleansers that just kept drying out and irritating my skin. What I like most about this cleanser is that it comes out as a mousse-like foam rather than a cream or gel, so it seems to be much gentler and I suppose less concentrated product. I keep this in the shower, and use it both day and night. You only need one to one and half pumps of the cleanser for it to lather up, so you won't go through too much product if you're using it everyday. Now because the cleanser is so gentle, it doesn't remove all of the makeup residue that's left on my face after I use a makeup remover wipe. So I do follow up and either do a double cleanse or I just use Bioderma (or a toner) to wipe away any stubborn makeup. All in all a nice and gentle product that works well for my skin. I am on the look out though for a similar product that is still gentle, but will help wash away the makeup residue. I would and have already repurchased this product. ($11.69 at Chemist Warehouse)

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation 30ml #55 Dark Beige
My favourite everyday foundation! It's a light to medium coverage, build-able depending on the tool you use to apply it. If I want a light coverage, I will use my Beauty Blender sponge and if I want a fuller coverage I'll use a makeup stippling brush. This foundation feels so lovely and refreshing on the skin and is pretty long wearing on my skin (I don't use primers). It claims to have 16 hour radiance- boosting an even and revived complexion, which I believe is true. What I like most about this foundation is how it looks and feels on the skin. It's very easy to blend and has a dewy finish; even when powdered. Bourjois have a nice foundation colour range and I find that their foundations really suit my yellow toned skin. I'm currently using a mixture of #55 (for when I'm tanned) and #53 (when I'm slightly paler). The foundation doesn't feel heavy on the skin and maintains a very natural look throughout the day. I have already repurchased this product. ($32.00 at Priceline or Target)

Calvin Klein Eau de Parfum Spray - Beauty 50ml

or $69.99 at Chemist Warehouse
I have repurchased this aready :)
