  1. Hi,
I was just wondering if you found the Garnier Perfect Blur any good? I have used the Garnier BB cream for years and love it. I just recently saw the Perfect blur at the shops and wasn't sure about purchasing it.
    Kind Regards
    Aimee :)

    1. Hi Aimee!

When I purchased the Garnier Perfect Blur, I was after a face primer as I'd never needed/wanted to use one before. With the hype around this Garnier product, I thought it would be a good first primer for me to try. I have visible pores around my nose area that I wanted to minimize so I bought this product particularly for that reason. On my skin/face, I haven't found it to be the most effective product. I have dry/sensitive skin and although I havent had any problems with skin irritation or breakouts, I found that the product didn't do much for me. I applied it after my daily moisturiser and sunscreen routine (waiting for each layer to absorb for about 3-5 minutes) then applied my makeup. I found that my foundation sort of just sat onto of the primer and therefore I noticed that my foundation was basically slipping off my face throughout the day - therefore making my usual long lasting foundation not last long at all. While the product really does feel smoothing on my skin, the blurring effect that the product claims to have really doesn't make any visible difference. I would not wear this product alone, but rather a bb cream. It does not blur signs of ageing but rather just creates a smooth velvet finish on the skin.

I think you should still try it as it may work for you, but perhaps buy the product when it's on sale. I wouldn't say it's a terrible product but I just found that it personally did not work for me in the way that I hoped that it would. I hope my long mini review for you helped! :)

If you're after a face primer, there are other options that I believe are better :)

    2. Hi,
Thankyou so much for letting me know, it is always nice to get an opinion from someone who has used a product, before you purchase it yourself. It sounds like it may not be the right product for me (I may still try it if I see it on sale). I have only ever used one face primer before and that was because it came in a pack with other nude by nature products, it was good; but, I didn't love it.
If you don't mind me asking (you don't have to answer if you don't want to), what face primers do you think work better?
      Kind regards
      Aimee :)

    3. Hi Aimee!

What type of skin do you have? There are various primers on the market that cater to particular skin types.

The primer that I'm using at the moment is from Innoxa Pure Silk Skin Primer $24.95 AUD. I think It's quite a standard/affordable one that works well for me. There is also another great product that Innoxa do and it's called the Innoxa Skin Perfect Pore Vanishing cream $17.95 AUD. I have yet to try this product, but will be purchasing it soon (and will do a review for you).

The primer that I'm using is very nice, it has a silicone gel type texture and it really just absorbs right into my skin. It definitley doesn't make my makeup slip off throughout the day.

For a more high end product, Benefit's The Porefessional is great too. (I too have yet to try this but it has gained a lot of hype in the beauty world at the moment!) If you have particularly oily skin - this would be a good investment. $53.00 AUD

Again, I haven't used many primers in my time yet but I hope this helps for now Aimee! :)
